How Celebrant Suite looks after celebrants' and couples' information.
This explains how Celebrant Suite handles information for celebrants who use the platform, and for the couples whose details pass through it.
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number, business details and the content of your site. If you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment provider — card numbers never reach us.
Couples give their details to the celebrant they are booking, through that celebrant's site: names, contact details, ceremony date, venue and anything else they choose to share. Celebrant Suite stores this on the celebrant's behalf so their site and bookings work. We do not use it for our own marketing and we never sell it.
Each celebrant sees only their own couples. This is enforced in the database itself, not only in the software.
We use a small number of services to run the platform: hosting and database, card payment processing, email delivery, and an artificial intelligence service used to draft wording and answer questions on a celebrant's site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Content sent to the AI service is not used to train public models.
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. There is no advertising tracking.
Information is stored in a managed database with access controls, encrypted in transit, and access is limited to what is needed to run and support the service. Files such as gallery photographs are stored privately and served through short-lived links.
Account and site content is kept while the account is open, and for a short period afterwards so it can be restored or exported. After that it is deleted.
You can ask to see what is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. Couples should contact their celebrant first, as the details are theirs to manage; we will help the celebrant do so.
If this changes in a way that matters, we will say so before it takes effect.
